Description

(english version below)

Estou orgulhoso.

Obrigado!

I'm proud. I know it's far from being the state of art illustration, but is exactly what I wanted. I managed to materialize what was planned from the rough. During the time I was working on it, I hated it. Nothing was getting good. I was about to give the hell up. After many layers discarted, the mountains gained shape and colour. I regained my confidence.
The idea came from the first theme suggestion (Chariots of the gods?) for my future blog (Mataram o Mickey).
I preferred to make the "ufo" more like the egiptian solar circle, because I wanted to comunicate the pre-historic spectators magic moment. The way he could have seen and understood something far beyond his rough technology.
Made with Photoshop Cs5 and Wacom Bamboo in 10hrs.
I hope you enjoyed it! Don't forget to leave a comment!
Thank you!

I like the vivid coloring used on this and almost completely how it's perspective looks. The only reason I say not completely is I feel there should be sharper definition where the man is sitting compared to the mountain range beyond him. I like how stylized the man is and his staff, but the UFO take the cake in this scene considering the concept behind the scene. it really looks like an ancient interpretation of a flying saucer. The blending of the colors looks nice, but some foreground defining of the mountain the man is sitting on would help the piece. He shows definition well, and the blending works well on the mid and background. But where he's sitting gets a little lost. But over all I find this a lovely piece of geeky anthropology. Well done.
